From a young age, Akayleb was taught the value of service by his parents, Calvin and Nita Evans, and alongside his two older siblings, he learned the importance of giving back to his community. In high school, he and his mother started the Always Elevate Foundation (previously known as Akayleb Evans Foundation); which supports under- resourced kids in McKinney through food, toys, and scholarship opportunities, a testament to his belief in serving others beyond sport. Much like Akayleb’s favorite animal, the eagle; symbolizing freedom and the ability to soar without limits; he thrives on the idea that there’s no ceiling to what one can achieve when grounded in purpose. This ethos has carried through his football journey, from earning a starting role in SEC competition to earning community awards at the Senior Bowl for his off-field dedication. Outside of football, he has served in leadership roles such as co-vice president of the Black Men’s Initiative and has made presentations encouraging student-athlete engagement in service. Through his play, leadership, and foundation work, Evans continues to add value to humanity and inspire those around him.
